Love to decorate and/or throw a party?

Grab a friend (or two) and head up our Reception Committee!  This committee would be responsible for set up, serving, and clean up of parish receptions.  The two primary receptions are Confirmation Mass in the Fall, and Easter Vigil in the Spring.  Other receptions might include Appreciation for Priests, Retirement of a Staff Member, etc.

Contact Deb at 432-1971 if you are willing to help.

Giving Boxes of Joy

During November 4 to November 12, 2017 religious education students and staff organized a Box of Joy campaign for Cross Catholic Outreach. Parish members and Sacred Heart School were invited to join in collecting boxes to be sent to those in severe poverty in Haiti, Guatemala and Nicaragua. Thanks to a team effort, 90 boxes will be sent to children who wish for just one gift this Christmas. If you missed sending a box and wish to help Cross Catholic Outreach, go to

Community Service Day

Sacred Heart School is organizing a Community Service Day for the students.  They would like to thank our parishioners for all they do for the school.  If you, or someone you know, could benefit from our students' assistance in raking leaves, please call Barb at the School Office 432-4124.

Reception Committee

The staff and parishioners of Sacred Heart would like to thank Marilou Krumm for her many years of service on our Reception Committee.
With Marilou's departure the parish is in need of a person (or two) who would be willing to head up this committee.  Please contact the parish office for more information.

Rosary Rally

The rain showers dissipated on October 14, 2017 to allow a public rosary rally to be held on the grounds of Sacred Heart Parish near 12th St and Story St. This event was held in conjunction with other rallies around the world as requested by Our Lady during the Apparitions at Fatima. The special intentions were for peace in our world and for reparation of sins. Thank you to the parishioners that organized this event and the clergy who were present, Deacons Darwin Messerly and Scott Steffen.
